This paper shows how Mohamed Bouazizi’s 2010 protest ignited Tunisia’s 2011 revolution, toppling Ben Ali and ushering in free elections, civil liberties, and progressive reforms that made Tunisia a democratic model in the Arab world. It highlights how Tunisia’s Mediterranean position has driven its post-Arab Spring focus on economic diplomacy, migration management, and counterterrorism, offering lessons for stable, rights-based governance.
